Welcome to The Residence Club at Grande Bay Resort. Very clean, had all the amenities needed and beautiful views. We did one longer walk to the sprague history museum and library which was still closed from the storms. It is a short walk to any downtown location including the terrace right next door, and mangoes across town near mango junction. We are foodies as well and cannot say we had a bad meal. If I do this again, hopefully, I would skip St T and go right to St J. Set near Wharfside Village, and a leisurely three minute stroll from the ferry dock, this St. John resort overlooks the emerald and blue waters of Cruz Bay with St. Thomas to the west and the British Virgin Islands to the east.

I also highly recommend a Catamaran cruise over to White Bay Beach, Jost VanDyke (the one that has so far surpassed all). There are more places to choose from in the Cruz Bay area.
The only 2 negative things I have to say: 1) Cranky next door neighbor got pissy with us twice, once we were on the deck at 11pm making a bit too much noise (I get that), but another time while waiting in the hallway (before 5pm mind you) for maintenance to let us in (our keys didn't work and the mechanism in the door itself had to be repaired).
