They were so strong and wonderful together with nothing but each other. This is sure to be a popular title among my football lovers. The mixed/digital media illustrations have a cartoonish quality wiht close-ups of the action as well as field and crowd that will appeal to young readers. What a unique book. You might know comedian Colin Jost from his work as the co-anchor of Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update, or perhaps you know him as Scarlett... At the 1929 Rose Bowl, talented center Roy Riegels picked up a fumble and made an incredible sixty-five-yard run. The combination of regular text and speech bubbles was a little distracting, and the graphics are in an almost caricature style, which doesn't particularly appeal to me. The trouble is that he heads for the wrong goal line, halting just in the nick of time, but leaving his team deep in the whole. What a great book. You’d get The Play That Goes Wrong, Broadway and London’s award-winning smash comedy! I did not like the word bubbles used in the text -- they are easy to read but I didn't think they worked well overall. Interesting story, but the presentation didn't quite do it for me. Disabling it will result in some disabled or missing features. Based on a true incident that occurred during the 1929 Rose Bowl football game, this story recounts a mistake that is still talked about decades after it occurred. The BCS haters simply will not be satisfied until college football mimics every other sport we care about and goes to a playoff. The play introduces The ‘Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society’ who are attempting to put on a 1920s’ murder mystery, but as the title suggests, everything that can go wrong…does, as the accident prone thespians battle on against all the odds to get to their final curtain call. Dan Gutman is a favorite of my students. I'm sorry, but some explanation was needed. Jordan's past did not make him runaway if anything he stood by her even more. After discovering the body they try to figure out the best way to break the news to Sandra (delightfully hammed up and overplayed by Charlie Russell) playing Florence Colleymoore, Charles’ fiancè and Thomas’ sister who has also been having an affair with Max (who as portrayed with calculated silliness by Dave Hearn) playing Cecil Haversham ( who gets distracted by audience laughter and applause), Charles’ brother (as well as Arthur the Gardener). Good moral to the story about carrying on after you make a mistake.
