Bleached coral carries its own message and lesson, which some may wish to overlook on vacation. Phil made it out unscathed, but Kat had a run in with an urchin which left spines in the left thumb. We did however, get far out enough to explore the staghorn coral farm, which was very cool to see! We made our way from the parking lot to the left side of the guard house and entered the water from the ramp before the pier starts. We were told this is a great place to see sea turtles, as the island is surrounded by sea grass. You will also find a beautiful white sand beach with large areas in the water with a nice sandy bottom that is just perfect for swimming or simply taking a relaxing dip. Loved the fruit infused rums ,best bananas foster ever! non-cruise ship season) you should definitely consider snorkeling the Frederiksted Pier. Ithink we are back at 2 ,We always take a case of water in a suitcase so we always have a drink and then n empty suitcase for souvenirs.
